In partnership with HELVETAS Guatemala, with funding from UNICEF and the European Union, ADRI implements the Total Sustainable Sanitation and Hygiene Methodology (SAHTOSO) in prioritized communities of six municipalities of Alta Verapaz and three municipalities in the department of Quiché as a contribution to the elimination of fecal contamination and the reduction of diarrhea in children under 5 years of age. This project also seeks to develop the capacities of the municipalities and members of the municipal certification committee in order to ensure long-term impact, follow-up and monitoring of the expected changes beyond the duration of the project.
