Location: Hybrid - Maitland, FL

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM ET

Salary Range: $60,000-$84,500

About the Role

As a Multi-Line Claims Adjuster, you will handle litigated Florida multi line claims for a dedicated client account from inception to resolution. This role requires 5-10 years of ML claim handling experience and a Florida adjuster's license.

We are seeking a Multi-Line Claims Adjuster with litigation experience for our hybrid position based in our Maitland, FL office. This role manages a dedicated client account and is responsible for investigating and adjusting a variety of claims, including General Liability, Auto, Property Damage, Professional Liability, and Sexual Abuse/Misconduct Liability.

Key Qualifications:

  • Florida claims experience is required, along with a FL Adjuster's license.
  • Strongly preferred: Previous experience handling claims in Connecticut, Iowa, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, Maryland, and Alabama.
  • Experience with determining liability in cases involving behavioral and mental health issues of facility patients.
  • Expertise in managing sexual abuse and misconduct liability claims involving facility patients is highly desirable.
  • Experience in multiple jurisdictions regarding litigation matters is essential.
  • Experience with municipalities, pharmacy, GL, nonprofit
  • Knowledge of Florida Sovereign Immunity statute
Responsibilities
  • Investigate and adjust multi-line liability claims in accordance with established claims handling procedures using CCMSI guidelines and direct supervision.
  • Review medical, legal and miscellaneous invoices to determine if reasonable and related to the ongoing liability claims. Negotiate any disputed bills for resolution.
  • Authorize and make payment of liability claims utilizing a claim payment program in accordance with industry standards and within settlement authority.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys in accordance with client's authorization.
  • Assist in selection and supervision of defense attorneys.
  • Assess and monitor subrogation claims for resolution.
  • Prepare reports detailing claims, payments and reserves.
  • Provide reports and monitor files, as required by excess insurers.
  • Compliance with Service Commitments as established by team.
  • Delivery of quality claim service to clients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Level II Claim Rep will possess excellent claims management skills, typically with 5 to 10 years of experience or equivalent education, along with proven claims handling performance levels.

Florida claims experience is required.

Associates degree is preferred.

Proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Florida adjusters license is required.
